Annoying...

I'd have thought Harriet Harman would have better manners than to look at the camera whilst shaking hands with the Holy Father... after all, it's not as if she's unused to media attention.

I thought it was "Harman", but given her militant feminism she has probably changed it...

Oohhhh! I would try so hard *not* to look at the camera. It's so cheeky lol. "Look at me! I'm shaking hands with the Pope!"

Maybe she was afraid to look at him. Anyway, enjoy your short worldly period of fame, Miss Harman.

Well, but to be fair, she may have just shaken hands or wasw about to. You really need to see the whole thing in motion to judge.

I suspect she was being polite. The pope is mortal and she's a gorgon. Had she looked directly into the Holy Father's eyes, he would have been turned to stone.

It looked as if she wasn't going to give him a warm shake of the hand either. Everything about her was so cold. What some people would to just to get near him? What a fool? She has no clue!

Well, like all politicians, she probably considered this a "Photo-Op" ("Smile for the camera").

Though, given her militancy, perhaps the photographer should have barked out: "Eyes front!"
