I now want to record the saints according to the usus antiquior, but I've hit a bit of a snag. So far, I have identified doubles of the first class, and doubles of the second class (so far so good) but then I have identified major doubles, semi-doubles and simplex...
So, what is the order of precedence? Is a major double less than a double of the first class but more than a double of the second...?
Help!
UPDATE: My St. Andrew's Missal is a veritable mine of information... I hadn't spotted the explanation of degrees of feasts at the front...

The F.S.S.P. in Denton, Nebraska posts a daily calendar at their Seminary, Our Lady of Guadalupe. Here is a link to that calendar. Note that the old terms have been replaced by 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th class. The Baronius Missal, The Summorum Pontificum ed., uses this as well. I have hoped to get someone to construct a blog widget but it is difficult due to the moveable feasts. Sigh...

The other place to try is the Ordo, Fr. Tim should have the Southwark (New Rite) and he also has the Traditional Rite (St Laurence Press) version. He may also have the LMS 1962 Rite version as well, other wise you can find it here;

The simplest is just to get yourself a 1962 Ordo for the Year 2010. You can buy one here from the Canons of Saint John Cantius:

The ranking of feasts (highest first) is:
Double of the First Class
Double of the Second Class
Greater-double (sometimes called double major)
Double
Semi-double
Simple
This is sometimes made a little more complex in that some Sundays, although semi-double, are also first or second class Sundays which in the case of first class Sundays never yield to a feast which is double of the first class. On the Sundays of second class (Septuagesima etc and the last three Sundays of Advent) a double of the first class feast out ranks them.

It's not an Ordo I want, Ches, (I already have two!) as that changes each year depending on movable feasts, etc... it was the saints' days and their ranking, to put on my electronic calendar...
