On The First Day Of Christmas...

Customer Relations Department
Ye Olde True Love Gift Shoppe
Santa's Grotto, North Pole

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your recent order for the super-deluxe partridge/pear tree combo.

We regret to inform you that it has not been possible to dispatch the item at this time, as the partridge sustained serious head injuries after being hit by a falling pear.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused, and hope you will continue to shop with us,

Yours faithfully,

Peter;

I wouldn't bet on only eleven - after all, the customer ought to have the last word !

Mulier Fortis!

I am truly shocked - that is a French Partridge! What is wrong with Perdix perdix - less flashy but English and tastes better!

Sorry, no idea about the nationality or taste of partridges...

I have not acquired it and hate pulling out the shotgun pellets from between my fillings.
OUCH!
