Recepción a los lectores de España…

Checking out my blog stats (as you do...), I noticed an upsurge of hits from a Spanish site. Intrigued, I followed the link...

...and discovered that I'd made it onto a Spanish blog/web page dedicated to the Extraordinary Form. I employed the BabelFish to work out what they were saying about me...

"PRIEST AT ANY MOMENT. 19/06/08. The author of blog Mulier Fortis, shows this likeable photography of her parish priest in an English pub. The religious life is not incompatible with a beer..."

Quite!

Mac,

Which site do you use for your stats?

And given that monks invented beer (with hops) I should jolly well think that the religious life is not incompatable with beer!

Beer, beer it's good for your heart,
Beer, beer it makes you smart,
A pint a day and a dollop of grace,
Makes for a life that's Catholic and ace.

Truly, the Father has gone international. That is a very good picture.

Dúnadan, I use Sitemeter... if you go to the bottom of my blog and click on the number of visitors it'll take you straight through...

Kevin, thank you... I have to admit, it is one of my better photos!

Mac, I'm not surprised, That is a totally kewl picture of Fr. Tim. I'm surprised there wasn't a line to his left for confession.

BTW, what brand of beer was he favoring?

Babelfish is notoriously bad at translations. It does help one get the gist of a text, but its translations are not always accurate. For example, if the title of your post was meant to read, "Welcome to the readers from Spain," it should say, "Bienvenidos a los lectores de España." The word "recepción" can mean "welcome," but in this context the correct word would be "bienvenidos." Just FYI.

On the other hand, it looks like it translated the blog post pretty accurately.

Congrats on your blog's transcendence of linguistic barriers! :)
