Justification For A Large Family?
Parents of more than 2.4 children are often challenged by complete strangers with thoughtless comments... this has to be the best reply yet! Mantilla-twitch to the Ironic Catholic.
Its that 0.4 child that is causing all the problems. If it were a full child there would be no problem (I was about to say "issue" but then a whole list of puns came to mind...)
I have received all of those comments (mother of 8)and more, including this one which I think exposes something of the crisis of female/maternal identity: "you must be a glutton for punishment"
