Makes You Think...

I read this courtesy of the Pastor in Valle.

On June 3rd 2006, Pakistan, an Islamic country, banned the film The Da Vinci Code because it contained blasphemous content about [the prophet] Jesus.

As the Pastor so eloquently put it... I have no further comment.

Yes... but the thing is the Muslim Isa, simply isn't the Christian Jesus. The Muslim Isa is a prophet, but he is not God incarnate, he is not the Saviour, he did not die on the cross, he will come again, then he will destroy all crosses, kill all the pigs and establish Islam then after 40 years he will die, and Muslims will pray over him. The Muslim Isa wrote a book called the "Injil" which is exactly the same as the Koran... but later christian plotters completely destroyed it and removed all references to Muhammed (whom obviously Isa had openly predicted.)

I could go on... but why bother the point being is that they (Pakistan) didn't defend the Jesus of history, they defended a mythical character...

David, you've missed my point. Pakistan banned a film because it was insulting to a prophet - not even their most important one. The so-called Christian West allowed a film to be shown despite the fact that it insulted the Son of God

Good on them! lol

Actually, I am going to rent the film, mostly to increase my own disgust of it, and to giggle a bit and shake my digit at the TV screen.
