Bruvver Eccles thinks that Cardinal Furretti is the strongest candidate going in to the Conclave tomorrow. I quite like the idea that she puts the "cat" in "Catholic" - she certainly has form when it comes to hunting out heresy, as evinced by
her attacks on an article in the
Catholic Times by Monsignor Loftus and on
The Bitter Pill (the whole publication!)

Of course Pope Felix V will also put the "cat" in "catechism," and be ideal for making ex-cathedra statements on dogma.
After the emotionally trying past two weeks, this is paws-sitively cat-hartic purrrrfection. If elected, Cardinal Furretti will no doubt make Church history as he is sure to be around for at least nine lives. By then of course many of us will be cat-atonic!

I can never see this photo without wanting to scoop up Cardinal Furretti for a thorough cuddle. Those eyes! That innocent expression!

Cardinal Furretti is indeed a cat who likes cuddles (when she is in the mood) and she is currently on the bed curled up beside me. Monsignor Miaowrini is curled up behind me. I guess it's cold out tonight...
