Missa Cantata In Honour Of Our Lady...

I decided to use my snazzy camera during this morning's Missa Cantata for the Feast of the Assumption: well, it's a special day. And, naturally, I wanted to show off my snazzy photos... but thought that another picture post might be a bit much... so I made a slide show video from them.

It took me a while to find some music to go with the photos: I finally decided on a track from an old CD by Vision, a group using the music of Hildegard von Bingen. I'm not sure if it really works, as it sounds a bit new-agey (I haven't listened to the CD in years) but I had fun trying to match up the main photo transitions with the soundtrack.

By the way, the Thurifer is only 7 years old... while the MC has reached the grand old age of eleven!

Dear Mulier Fortis. Excellent Post. Powerful stuff. I'm sure Our Lady is happy with the devotion and honour accorded her at the beautiful Mass at Blackfen and with Mulier Fortis' Productions coverage of the event. The soundtrack (Hildergard von Bingen) worked very well. More, please ?

Great photos Mac. Shame about my untidy cotta though!

Mac, try video clips and see how they come out. I did one today from Lavabo to just before Nobis quoque...

Nice clip...Mac I wonder could we have some OF Masses pictured & videoed..it's a shame that Fr Tim comes across as an old riter when he celebrates both forms of the Mass...apparently!

I like it how the altar has become more blended with the sanctuary over time! Seems your MC has done a smashing job with it. It is also good to see young servers too - the future of the church!

Mom of 10 - is it impossible for you for once not to make a snide comment on the blogsphere, with anything concerned with the old rite?

Wonderful Mac!

sorry this is vastly off topic but if it works you'll love it. It involves a c-a-t!

I managed to get it by googling the above.

Thanks Jane - I have seen that video before. Indeed, I posted it on the blog a few years back, but it was pulled by YouTube because of copyright issues.

It's also known as "Simon's Cat" and there are a few others by the same animator. Very, very amusing!
