My beloved came into the room as I was listening to this, and insisted that I send him the link.
An aunt of mine has not been bothered by cold callers since she started a conversation with one of them a few years ago. The gist of the conversation was that my aunt put on her most dreamy voice and started talking about "...knives...I like knives. Don't you?" and so forth.
It's unorthodox, but it worked...
