I have a hectic week ahead. I found that the only delivery slot for my groceries which was practical (and would arrive before I found I needed to actually venture out to the shops for myself) was the 9pm-10pm slot this evening.
Tomorrow is Parents' Evening for my Year 7 classes. Year 7 parents are invariably keen to attend. I have no problem with this (it's better than the alternative) but it will be a long evening... and tonight I'm really tired...
Anyone care to bet against the delivery van arriving at the end of the slot?
UPDATE: Wow! All bets are off. The delivery arrived at 9:10pm. So all I have to do is unpack it all, and then I shall have a very early night...

Regrettably, I cannot bet against that even in a gentleman's wager. I have a principled problem with losing. :-p
(I had a fridge delivered yesterday. I had to call repeatedly to even GET my time slot, and then they came 45 minutes after the end of the slot. Nine P.M. Grr...)
But hope springs eternal!
I actually had one come earlier than the late slot because he had finished all his other deliveries for the day - so you never know!
When I get groceries from Peapod, they ALWAYS show up right on time - at the early part of the delivery window.
I had the guy call once and he was about 30 minutes early but wanted to know if he could go ahead and deliver the groceries. Um, yes?
