There is much amusement in the Science Faculty office as we share some of these bloopers. We smile, and hope that the kids will acquire a little more general knowledge as they get older... and hope it's not anything we taught them which is responsible...
However, it's not quite so funny when a similar gaffe is made by someone who, not so long ago, was in charge of a whole country...
Apparently, Bill Clinton is of the opinion that an embryo is unfertilised. It wasn't a one-off followed by a "D'oh!" moment either... he made the point five times.
Even more worryingly, Barack Obama's nominee for Surgeon General didn't pick up on the mistake.
I guess the entrance requirements for medical school have been dumbed down... try not to get sick if you live in America...

It's a deadly "game" demorats play with themselves. Gupta is actually a neurosurgeon who does know better. During the recent conflict in Iraq, he was doing battle field surgery, and actually has a high profile on CNN. I think it's a safe bet he's not a Christian, given the name "Sanjay Gupta" -- many from India seem highly tolerant of abortion, given they free way they don't seem to give a damn about aborting babies who aren't the "right" sex. i.e. aren't males.
Clinton is a buffoon.
And the Speaker of the House, that witch with a capital "B" Nancy Pelosi, is as smarmy as they come. She disolved into a shouting match with then Senator Jim Santorum of Pennsylvania in a partial abortion debate. He was pointing out that HER position was that it was a-okay to kill the baby even when the whole body up to the neck was out of the mother, but as long as the head was still in, the abortionist could have the brains sucked out of the baby and the head collapsed....Nancy the "catholic" was arguing that the baby wasn't born yet and the mother should be able to abort the child.
These scumbuckets have NO moral conscience. They are lower than whale excrement.

It was good to see you tonight after the stations; I just wanted to apologise for my monosyllabic answers; if I came across as ignorant please accept my apologies ~ I've been up since 4am and my brain is complete mush! :c)! Perhaps I'll see you again next week; though I can't promise that I'll be any more alert :c)

Jason - trust me, after a day in school where everyone else seemed to be "celebrating" red nose day, I was in no fit state to register whether answers were monosyllabic or not!
Good to see you - your presence has been missed (especially by Jonathan et al.) so perhaps next week you will join us in the parish club?
