Terra, stop sulking, and stop trying to rig the voting along nationalistic lines. Ches, the commenting works just fine, so stop messing about... be sensible, there's a good chap. Leutgeb, take off that sling and get thee to a keyboard... no, not that sort of keyboard... the one attached to your computer. Paulinus, remember that rabbits are God's creatures too. And Ttony, if you have quite finished mooching about pre-Reformation churches...
If I now have your undivided attention? Are you sitting comfortably? Good.
The 2009 Cannonball Awards have opened for voting. Mulier Fortis (me!) is up for two awards: Snarkiest Catholic Blog and Best Under-Appreciated Catholic Blog. You have to be careful in the latter category, as I'm in the second set of blogs.
Well, don't just sit there... go and vote for me! I shall be checking that you've done your homework too...
Much as I object to this open competitiveness, 'tis done ;-)
ReplyDeleteWhat does "snarkiest" mean? Am I imperilling my immortal sould by calling somebody's blog "snarky"?
ReplyDeleteI'm not entirely sure what "snarkiest" means... but it sounds like a blog which is a bit bolshy and tells it like it is.
ReplyDelete;-P
Hmmm, I've delivered...sort of! Can't back away from highlighting the merits of Our Therese (this is after all about recognising the smaller less known blogs and what's wrong with a bit of nationalism)! But in terms of hunting the snark, some are unsurpassable...
ReplyDeletePS I may have weakened further...
ReplyDeleteSnarkiest - according to Wictionary:
ReplyDeleteSuperlative form of snarky - (informal) snide and sarcastic, usually out of irritation.
Yes, I had to look it up too tho' I did have an inkling beforehand.
I'm not sure if it's a compliment or not! I enjoy your blog anyway and will try and find out how to vote for it.
Homework done, also voted for C&L it in shameless partisan UK fashion.
ReplyDeleteIs logging on at work and voting using different IP cheating!
It's ON!
