At the moment, he's perched on a chair behind me, looking at the computer screen. When I get up, he'll follow me, walking just close enough to make me worry about stepping on him... (well, ok, I'll be honest... tripping over him!) And later, when I go to bed, he'll come and sleep next to my pillow, after having head-butted me a few times. That's definitely not his normal behaviour. Generally, he prefers the middle of the bed... and as much of it as he can commandeer!

ReplyDeleteI'm a little concerned because one of my mother's moggies became very attentive shortly before she died...
Maybe he needs to go to the vet for a checkup and possibly some elderly cat vitamins.
ReplyDeleteOh dear,
ReplyDeleteNow I know his age, I can understand your worry. Oh yes do take him to the vet.
Oh, dear. By all means, take him to the vet. But for what it's worth, I've noticed that quite a lot of cats (how does one pronounce "moggies"?) become more affectionate as they get older, and certainly by Sylvester's age.
ReplyDeleteWe had a cat who lived to be almost 20, who became much more cuddly and friendly at about Sylvester's age. It needn't be an imminent-death sort of thing...take hope in that...
