Wow. The Church has such great saints... It makes me proud to be Catholic.
"Truly, it is the indescribable sweetness of contemplation which you give to those who love you. In this you have shown the tenderness of your charity, that when I had no being you made me; and when I strayed away from you, you brought me back again to serve you and commanded me to love you." Lump In Throat, Tear In Eye...
Wow. The Church has such great saints... It makes me proud to be Catholic.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. CC indulged me a bit today to go all-out in paying tribute to my patron saint.
ReplyDeleteNo matter how many times I read St. Maximilian's story, I still get emotional. He was truly a gift to the Church.
A wondeful saint indeed. Here is an account of his life from a radio perspective: http://ham-shack.com/history-misc.html
ReplyDeleteNote there is a radio net devoted to him on Sunday evenings. you will need a short wave receiver able to copy single side band.
He is patron siant of radio amatuers, the life movement and the internet.
I enjoyed the posts on Maximilian. I learned so much more about him and developed a greater appreciation. It was all Steve's doing. ;-)
