"Truly, it is the indescribable sweetness of contemplation which you give to those who love you. In this you have shown the tenderness of your charity, that when I had no being you made me; and when I strayed away from you, you brought me back again to serve you and commanded me to love you." Urghhhh...!
There is a dead pigeon in my sitting room. The bird either put up a valiant fight, or the kitties wanted to perfect their feather-plucking techniques...
ROTFL. I am suddenly so thankful that Amadeus (my black-and-white cat) is an indoor-only cat.
Though, come to think of it, that never stopped my dear departed Cascapedia from tucking half a mouse under my pillow *shudder* whenever she though I needed cheering up...but then, that was when I was in high school, and my parents live in an ancient farmhouse, so mice were not entirely uncommon.
Yikes. I "know why the caged bird didn't sing" for Maya Angelou. She had cats!

ReplyDeleteMaybe they're practicing to help you with the turkey next Christmas ;-)

We found a magpie behind the sofa once.....neither cat owned up as to how long it had been there!
