Day Two Of The Visit...

Well, I managed to sort out a computer to blog with, but forgot that all my bookmarks and passwords are all on the home computer... I wouldn't mind, but I can't put any pictures up at all, and there's no software on this laptop to save it...

*sigh*

I'm feeling pretty blonde...

Anyway, the Media Centre was really buzzing by the time I arrived, and the first thing I saw on the screens was the news that five men had been arrested. No further details seem to be forthcoming. Hey, I thought this was supposed to be a Media Centre. Where's the inside info!!!???

Everything is gearing up for the Pope's visit to the Archbishop of Canterbury in about 45 minutes. I'm listening to the Papal Visit live webcast while typing this... it's more interesting than watching either Sky or BBC news.

In an attempt to justify my Papal Visit Press Pass, I took the opportunity to chat with Fr. Stephen Wang to hear his views on the visit so far. He told me that the most interesting thing was the fact that everyone has been wrong-footed by the Holy Father: they were expecting Pope Benedict to be critical and negative, and, in fact, he has concentrated on the things to celebrate and praise - and reminded us to remember why Britain has such a great heritage - namely its Christian roots.

Luke Coppen just popped over and tapped me on the shoulder - he is off to Westminster Hall for the next stop on the Holy Father's itinerary. Just looking at how much the Holy Father is managing to pack into each day has me gasping for breath.

Ok, I am going to abandon my computer, briefly, so that I can find a spot on the route for the popemobile. If you hear reports that a mad woman on crutches has started yelling the place down, you'll realise who it is...

More later...

There is NO excuse for being *that* blond.

Look. You make ONE spread sheet with open office. WHY open office? Because you can get it for FREE and load on to any platform. Can you remember ONE password? Yes? ONE? [if you can't, stop here, and hang your head in utter defeat.]

Save the spreadsheet with the one password you can for sure remember. Make sure it's not something obvious like the name of your pussy cat. If it is something that obvious, change it, you blond, you. [no, your birthday is not a good thing to change it to, or your cat's birthday, for that matter.]

Save the PASSWORD PROTECTED file up to www.adrive.com or something similar. Then you can download it from anywhere, and if need be acquire the open office software. You can even, better yet, store the open office software and this one spreadsheet on a flash drive. Password protected the file isn't good to anyone but you.

[Glad you are having a great time with the visit.]

Well, perhaps the Holy Father is just "offering it up" for transgressions he doesn't like?

    Just a thought.

  3. Xmarks (formerly foxmarks) will co-ordinate every bookmark, password and open tab from one computer to another. I use it on my profile on three machines (mine, my wife's and our desktop) so I always have my stuff to hand. Just Google Xmarks and you'll never look back.
