One-ape-manship?

The UK has sunk pretty low in the morality stakes after passing laws to allow human-animal hybrids and "saviour" siblings.

But Spain has, I think, just trumped the UK in the crazy stakes. They now want to introduce legislation giving rights to apes.

John Smeaton has a very clear exposition of why this is completely illogical - especially in view of the fact that Spain allows unborn human babies no rights at all.

  1. If I am not mistaken the group that is pushing this was started by Peter Singer. He is the a professor at a large American University. He is for animals' rights and for parents' right to kill their already born, but handicapped infant children.

  2. These nutters and their barmy legislation should be shoved into a rocket and sent through the 'space-time continuum' (got that from Star Trek - thanks Scottie!) to the Planet of the Apes.

    They're all bananas!

  3. Peter Singer is the Chairman of the Ethics Department at Princeton. From a seminary to this. . .how low has that formerly fine university fallen!
