I'm still in the process of tidying up... but I need to take plenty of breaks for stuff like, ummm... blogging... and eating... and teaching. I'd get so much more done if I didn't have to go to work (not!)Anyway, I finally moved my old bookcase from one part of the living room to another, to make way for one of the new bookcases. Under it, I found a rather dead (and slightly squashed) mouse.
It could have been worse... Sylvester went through a phase of bringing me breakfast-mouse-in-bed.
On a related note, I think I might be running out of bookcases. I have no idea where all the books are coming from. I'm sure that they didn't take up that many armchairs!

ReplyDeleteIn my defence, the bookcase only has a slight decorative arch at the bottom, so it's not possible to see under it... and even the cat couldn't get at it!
ReplyDeleteMac, those bookcases you showed us are far too small! Get taller ones. Cover windows with them, if you must. Nothing as paltry as light or air should stand in the way of a tidy display of books!

ReplyDeleteYou are beginning to get to the right position vis-a-vis books. Once they start multiplying behind your back, things are going well.
ReplyDeletettony, just yesterday I left a male and female plug in a dark closet together for a few minutes and a full grown network appeared an hour later. It's contageous.
