"Truly, it is the indescribable sweetness of contemplation which you give to those who love you. In this you have shown the tenderness of your charity, that when I had no being you made me; and when I strayed away from you, you brought me back again to serve you and commanded me to love you." Heheheheh...
Fr. Harrison from the Lune Valley has finally bitten the bullet... he's decided to learn how to say the Classical Rite Mass. As he doesn't know any Latin, this could be quite a feat! Perhaps Fr Tim should run classes...
Memoria Press puts out Church Latin homeschooling books, flash cards and DVDs. Sure, their for kids but it's good stuff! That's how I'm learning Latin! Maybe Father would benefit as well? Just an idea. GOD BLESS!!
I am amused to see that the priest in your attched picture is not wearing a roman fiddle back chasuable. That pleases me as I am not a fan of that style of vestment lol
Anyway, PC world in Preston ( God's own town) were selling teach your self Latin a few months ago. I am going to check if it is still there!

I found that book rather hard going... not relevant enough to the bits of Church Latin that I've been picking up...
ReplyDeleteExcellent news that more priests are learning the Mass of the Ages.
