Further Thoughts on Inclusive Language

I liked Fr Tim's cartoon, but was tempted to see what else was out there as a way of making my thoughts and feelings known...

  1. According to Peter Kreeft, "humanity" is NOT a replacement for "man" or "mankind" - "humanity" is a condition; "man" is a group.

    I like the paperclip cartoon!

    Of course, that's because I'm a foul woman-oppressor ;D

Wonderful! Microsoft's evil paperclip reincarnates as a politically-correct liturgist!

I was on a 'Diversity course' at work recently, where I argued until I was blue in the face that 'man' in 'man-hours' and 'manning levels' meant a human, and was not sexist! Still, no-one agreed!

    Oh, well... *shruggles*
